EESA 2020 SPEAKER INTEREST FORM
Thank you for your interest in the 2020 Empowering Exceptional Students of America (EESA) Special Education Convention.
This year, our theme is “Funner in the Summer.” Sometimes, homeschooling can be boring and repetitive. The lives as parents of an exceptional child can become overwhelming, and if there are not enough adequate support systems in place, parents can quickly return to what they know which is recreating public school at home. The beauty of home education is having the freedom to bend the learning environment around the needs of the child. We are wanting to put fun, joy, and innovation back into our homeschooling routine, so we are seeking speakers who can speak on these topics. This convention is geared to families who homeschool their children with exceptional needs (with or without ESA funds).
Please fill out the information below. We strive to present a robust and fulfilling convention for our members by providing a variety of speakers who will introduce an eclectic mix of real-life activities that will help encourage parents to put more fun and engagement into their homeschool lessons while remembering that they have limited time or energy to spend learning a complicated system with multiple components.
While filling out the Speaker Interest Form, please consider carefully how the topic and subject of your presentation will fit into our theme of “funner in the summer.”
Once we receive your information, you will be notified if you have been selected to speak at the convention. Interest is high, so we will only contact selected speakers by November 1. If you do not receive notification that you have been selected, there are many other opportunities to connect with our clients through sponsorships, our welcome bag, and our Convention Credits! program. In addition, we will give you 50% off an advertisement in our eDirectory which showcases businesses and individuals who further AESA’s goal of providing information and resources to parents of exceptional students in any educational setting. We look forward to connecting with you and hearing all about how you can help our parents to have a homeschool that is “funner in the summer.”
